SouperBowl of Caring

Just a reminder about the “Souperbowl of Caring” food drive this Saturday, 2/2. Please leave canned goods or other non-perishable food items in a bag or box on your front porch or steps on Saturday morning. These items will begin to be picked up starting at 9:30 a.m. and taken to Chambers Memorial church to be sorted and taken to local food banks in Delaware County. For the last five years the residents of Rutledge have been very generous and I would like to keep up that tradition of giving. If you would like help us with the work please come on up to Chambers around 9:00. These food insecure households and kids need our help.

Thanks,
Mayor K

Activities Meeting monday

Interested in helping out with the Rutledge activities committee, come to our monthly meeting next monday at 7:30pm.

Coffee with The Mayor

Join us on February 23rd from 9:30-11am for “Coffee with the Mayor”, the first in a series of informal workshops hosted by the Rutledge Borough Planning Commission. Mayor Kevin Cunningham and members of the Planning Commission will be upstairs at Borough Hall to answer questions, gather ideas, and engage in discussions surrounding community planning priorities. Based on public responses at the 2018 Octoberfest event, the initial meeting will focus on issues surrounding transportation, community facilities, and natural resources. Coffee and donuts will be provided.

Snow Jam

The fifth annual “Snowjam” concert will take place at the borough hall starting at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday night, 2/23. Snowjam was started as a free community event for the residents of Rutledge to shake off the doldrums of winter. All the entertainment is provided by acts from Rutledge and the surrounding areas like Wallingford and Swarthmore. The night is family friendly and people are encouraged to bring their own food and beverages like beer, wine water, and soda. So mark down the date to have some fun with your neighbors. More info about who will be playing will coming out soon. We hope to see you there.

Mayor K
