Mayor Sherif read the SPD report 1/17-2/18/2024

Mayor Sherif addressed a public report from SPD on reported incident at SRS

Approval of Minutes:

Activities:

    1. Game night is coming 2/21/24

6-9pm on Wednesday at the Borough Hall; hosted by Council Member Johnson

Target audience: 8+

  1. Bingo date change to 3/1

Move from Saturday to Friday; doors open at 6:30, games start at 7pm

Residents are encouraged to bring canned food donations for Chambers Memorial food drive

Building

New policies in place since 1/1/2024; monitoring rentals, noting a significant drop compared vs last year

Increased use of downstairs

Examining spaces of impact

Proposed changes to listening session timing

Looking to clear possible impact from changes in office staffing

  1. Borough Hall Plan Update

Developing an overall building plan for the Hall building including its role in the community

Three phased plan:

1) discovery/engaging other municipalities and listening sessions;

2) visioning sessions;

3) start drafting a vision plan that sketch what the role of the hall is and where investments will be needed
