Vote to Change the Agenda: Add Reading of the Draft Budget  HS/KTZ unanimous approval 

 

Public Comment:  None

 

Tax Collector:  None

 

Mayor’s Report:

  •  Police report-Attached 
  • The Police Department has created a challenge coin designed by Officer Bascelli.
    • Officers will be giving them out to kids who are seen being good citizens

 

Minutes: approval of the minutes of November 1, 2021 council meeting  HS/SN unanimous approval

 

Trash & Recycling: 

  • Waiting for RFPs which are due Fri, Nov 19th
  • T&R committee meeting the week of 11.29 to go over the proposals

 

Communications: 

  • 2022 calendar approval- draft available, would like to pass at Dec Council Meeting

 

Parks & Property:  None

 

Activities: 

  • Tree lighting: December 6th at 7 pm Silvertones coming, Will be an outdoor event
  • MRFC Santa- 5pm Christmas Eve
  • MRFC Breakfast with Santa Dec 4th
  • DIY luminaries will take place this year.  Info to follow

 

Public Safety:  None 

 

Finance: 

  • Bills list  11.2.2021-11.15.2021  HS/CG
  • 2022 Draft Budget Reading and Discussion Jody Roberts read highlights from attached budget

Streets: 

  • Pothole season- please report to Samantha Newell
  • A road repaving project will be scheduled for early 2022 using liquid fuel funds. Location and scope to be determined.

 

Sewers: 2022 CDCA rates are up by 11% and our flow is up by 30%, creating an increase in our CDCA rates. We are waiting on final numbers.

 

Building:   

  • 2022 hall rental rates
    • Small increase in rates for 2022, if we find that this lowers rental rates, we can revisit:
      • Lower Hall- $550
      • Upper Hall daytime rental- $700
      • Upper Hall nighttime rental $750 
  • Holiday dates- discussed under calendar
    • Includes dates that the office is closed as well as holidays that the office will remain open
  • Catania October monthly report- attached 

 

Planning: 

  • Investigating an Ordinance change that would allow for fences that abut non-residential properties to be 6’ high and solid.
  • Working on LCAP- Local Climate Action Plan
    • Working to reduce carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions within the borough
